EXOCET inflatable boat

Before using any EXOCET inflatable boat products, carefully read and comply with the following safety instructions. Proper operation and maintenance of the product are critical to safeguarding your safety and that of others.

I. General Safety Instructions

1. Never exceed the maximum load capacity, rated passenger capacity or rated motor power. Overloading may cause capsizing or sinking.

2. All occupants must wear certified life jackets before boarding. Children, non-swimmers, intoxicated individuals and those with impaired consciousness due to medication shall not board the vessel unaccompanied.

3. Inspect the hull, air chambers and air valves for air leakage before every use. Confirm repair kit, paddles, inflatable pump and other accessories are complete and intact.

4. Do not navigate in severe weather such as strong winds, heavy rain or thunderstorms, nor in fast-flowing waters, main shipping channels or unlit waters at night.

5. Do not inflate the boat beyond the recommended air pressure. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight exposure to prevent aging, deformation or cracking of PVC material.

6. Inflate the three independent air chambers in sequence. Never launch the boat with only partially inflated air chambers.

7. When installing an outboard motor at the stern, use dedicated fasteners exclusively. Check structural stress after installation to avoid hull damage.

II. Pre-operation Operating Specifications

1. Double-check all safety equipment is complete and the hull is in normal condition with no abnormalities before launching.

2. Keep weight centered during navigation; avoid severe tilting to either side to prevent capsizing.

3. Reduce speed when approaching shorelines, reefs and docks to prevent the hull from colliding with hard objects.

4. Maintain stable weight distribution when fishing on board. Move slowly while standing to cast lines or shifting positions to avoid violent hull rocking.

5. Motorized navigation shall only be operated by experienced personnel. Observe local water traffic regulations and avoid sharp high-speed turns.

III. Storage & Maintenance

1. Rinse silt and salt residue off the hull surface with clean water after each use. Fully air-dry the boat before folding for storage to prevent mold growth and material aging.

2. Store the boat in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area. Keep it away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, sharp objects and chemical solvents.

3. For long-term storage, partially inflate the hull to 30%–50% of standard pressure and store flat or suspended. Long-term tight folding will cause material fatigue along crease lines.

4. Unfold and inspect the hull regularly (every three months recommended) to verify good condition of all air valves, seams and hull surfaces.

5. Do not clean the hull with gasoline, benzene or strong alkaline solvents. Wipe surfaces with neutral detergent and soft cloth only.

IV. General In-Use Precautions

1. Prior to first use, familiarize yourself with vessel handling characteristics in calm waters (e.g. swimming pools or sheltered lakes) and master basic paddling and turning skills.

2. Inform others of your navigation plan and expected return time before departure. Travel with companions whenever possible and avoid long-distance solo voyages.

3. Monitor weather and hydrological conditions constantly. Head for shore or a safe area immediately if weather deteriorates suddenly.

4. Maintain a safe distance from shorelines and other vessels during navigation. Do not enter swimming zones or crowded water recreation areas.

5. Open flames, smoking and flammable/explosive articles are prohibited on board.

6. Secure all belongings on board to prevent sliding loads from destabilizing weight distribution.

V. Common Malfunctions & Troubleshooting

1. Abnormal Air Pressure Loss

Symptom: Continuous air leakage with over 20% pressure loss within 24 hours.

Possible Causes:

1. Loose or clogged air valves

2. Tiny cracks or damage on hull surfaces or seams

3. Normal pressure fluctuation caused by temperature difference

Solutions:

- Clean and fully tighten all air valves.

- Apply soapy water to hull and seams to locate leaks.

- Patch minor leaks using the repair kit.

- Minor pressure changes from temperature shifts require no repair.

2. Water Intrusion into Hull

Symptom: Excessive standing water inside the boat that cannot drain naturally during navigation (A small amount of water entering the cabin through drain valves while stationary is normal).

Possible Causes:

1. Clogged or faulty automatic drain valve

2. Damaged hull or seams causing water seepage

Solutions:

1. Remove floor mats, lay the boat flat and perform a water filling test to locate leaks.

2. Repair damaged areas following standard repair procedures.

3. Inflation Issues (Under-inflation / Over-inflation)

Symptom: Soft hull from insufficient inflation, or over-expanded hull from excessive inflation.

Possible Causes:

1. Inflatable pump with mismatched or insufficient pressure output

2. Improper inflation operation

Solutions:

1. Use a pressure gauge-equipped pump to inflate to standard pressure.

2. Built-in safety valves automatically prevent over-inflation.

4. Unstable Inflatable Floor Mat

Symptom: Shifting, wobbling or poorly fitted floor mat.

Possible Causes:

1. Under-inflated floor mat

2. Floor mat not fully inserted into positioning grooves

Solutions:

1. Re-inflate the mat until its surface is flat and wrinkle-free.

2. Reposition the mat and lock it firmly into hull grooves.

VI. Standard Repair Procedures

Applicable to minor air or water leaks on PVC hulls

1. Thoroughly clean and fully dry the area surrounding the damaged spot.

2. Cut a circular patch extending 2.5 centimeters beyond all edges of the damaged area.

3. Clean both the patch and the damaged hull surface, then apply an even coat of special adhesive to both surfaces.

4. Attach the patch when the adhesive reaches a tacky semi-dry state, and press firmly to eliminate all trapped air bubbles.

5. Allow the repaired section to cure for 24 full hours before reusing the boat.

Repair Requirements: All repairs must be completed in a dry environment with relative humidity below 60%.
